ON TRYING TO DO STUFF

This year, I am going to channel my inner Oprah, and do stuff. Small or big, I want act on things I have always wanted to do. I want to attempt things that I thought I was too busy to do or to afraid to try. Also, I figure when I do stuff then Rowan will see my example, and want to do stuff too. I will admit, this resolution has proved to be a bit challenging post-childbirth. Figuring out how to take action with a toddler strapped to your legs is a tad tricky. Having a baby changed everything. My office always has a messy toddler in it, I always have a million things on my mind at one time, and every one of my priorities has changed ten-fold. But there are upsides too, like my office always has a messy toddler in it, I always have a million things on my mind at one time, and every one of my priorities has changed ten-fold.

My priorities are ever evolving – they are living breathing things….or so it feels. This was a really lovely post! Beautiful pictures and the last one, the ship…love it! I'm with you on the "do stuff" idea. A few of my recent posts have been along the same vein. Good luck to you!

Simply coveting your house…and your home office…maybe you'd like to be featured one of these days??

And totally understand about the stuff…if anything it gets exhausting.

That is the truth. Life takes a whole new direction when baby comes along. He looks super adorable in all of his mischief though. In a way–motherhood liberates you from yourself.

Haha, I like how the new things you're dealing with and the new blessings are the same! Absolutely right! Great perspective!

We aren't wimps (mom of one here) There's no one to entertain them but us. My office has a junky 7 year old. But at least I can tell him to clean up his spot when he moves on to something else. Welcome to the club 😉 I love him to pieces and there has been years of trying to juggle priorities – I feel guilty all the time because he is the only one but I can't be everything for everybody. I love this quote from a fellow blogger. I asked her to put it in my quotes guestbook so I could share it: “I believe in giving 100% to my commitments, but I no longer believe in emptying myself for them." LaMonique Hamilton
