In 2011, I watched my first born grow from a helpless infant to an adventurous one year old (as I write this, he is eating the vacuum cleaner). I am not going to lie, there was a lot of crying involved (mostly me). Rowan didn’t always sleep when I wanted him to sleep, eat what I wanted him to eat and he certainly did not sit still when I wanted him to sit still. I obsessed over every doctor’s appt, every runny nose, and I worried and worried and worried some more. I figure, this is par for the course with your first born, right? But in between all the fuss and during all the fuss, I had the best year of my life. Thank you Rowan for changing everything.
