SCENES FROM THE WEEKEND

This weekend escaped me. We did just a little bit of this and a little bit of that. No major projects were started or finished, nothing got cleaned and organized, heck I am just happy that I got all (most) of the raisins Rowan is perpetually dropping everywhere off the kitchen floor. I can’t really remember one specific stand out thing we did, but all in all, we had a good time. I did make a batch of muesli which made me feel crafty and productive, but mostly I followed Rowan around while he picked things up, chewed them, then put them down again. He is talking a bit more now which is fun. We played the game “Gar!”.  Rowan looks out the front window and shouts “Gar!” to cars as they drive by. We also played the game “Hi!”. Similarly this entails shouting “Hiyee!” but with the added twist of enthusiastic waving and a big grin. The greeting is directed at anyone or anything: trees, windows, dogs, garbage cans and even the occasional person. We also played “Bye!”. You get the picture. Other than that, we took many walks, had our share of bubble baths and hung around in our pjs.

I love your photos! Glad you had a great weekend too. Just wait til he starts putting the raisins up his nose! Can't remember exactly when that started (I think around 1.5), but my 2.5 year old Naked Girl still puts things up her nose from time to time. Last night it was rice. SO fun trying to get that sticky mess out!

Thanks! Omg, I feel like checking his nose right now! I think I got peas stuck up my nose twice when I was a kid, so it is genetic! Thanks for the heads up. Your blog is hilarious. I will keep reading.
