TOYS ARE EVERYWHERE
When we moved into our new house, I was pregnant, and committed to having the kind of home you see in magazines (the idiocy!). Picture a smiling child playing on an exotic carpet with a few lovely toys scattered about the room. The mom explains the importance that children from an early age should put their toys away after they play and on, and on, blah, blah, blah. Well, fast forward to my life, and picture a gigantic multi-colored play mat smack across from our dining room, and toys that find there ways into every corner of our home.
Toys are everywhere. I started to take pictures in an attempt to document and make sense of the phenomenon.
Exactly. And when they're older you'll know they've been in a room because a sofa pillow will be on the floor or a book will be on the chair when you try to sit or a drawer will be left open. They have to leave their mark wherever they go.
I'm trying to find it charming because I'm sure I'll miss it some day. But mostly I just wish they'd pick up after themselves!
Ha! I actually remember my mom getting annoyed with me about messing the place up. I guess now it is my turn!
