I haven’t bought real wrapping paper in years. Mostly because I can be highly disorganized, and wrapping is left to the last minute under my watch. This entails me rummaging around the house and either jazzing up a plain box, or my favorite, simple tissue paper with a ribbon.
Here is an easy way to turn these brown sandwich bags into a cute gift wrapping idea. You can find the bags I used here, but I found them in my local big supermarket.
Insert the bags instead of paper into a color printer. I also made a printout on card stock and made cute labels to match.

What a great idea! I love it!
Thanks!
another fantastic idea! i love the print. i tried to make snowflakes in illustrator the other day . . . let's just say they didn't turn out quite so cute! love this xo
This is an awesome idea. I love the snowflakes and have a few gifts to give which would benefit from a bag instead of a box. If that tissue paper doesn't get to them first, that is.
Hello! I just discovered your blog through another pinned on Pinterest.
I am so glad I did!
I have just gone through pages of your blog and pinned numerous things.
I'd like to say on another hour, or 5, but it is nearly 11pm, and I have rolls to put into the oven and sweet potatoes to peel. Ack!
Anyway, just wanted to let you know how much I have enjoyed your blog and how lovely and inspiring it all is.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Love from,
Greta
thanks so much Greta! I am flattered and happy that you enjoyed the blog!
I’m planning to create my own bag gift wrap as well but I don’t have that DIY stapler. I think I’ll just print my designs first but I need to resize them.
DIY gift wrappers are better than gift wrappers that we see at the local bookstore. We can save more money and the design that we create is unique.
Who would thought that an often overlooked brown bag can have this use. This shows that any material can be exciting, it all depends on the creativity of a person on how they would present it.
This idea isn't just applicable to gift wraps, but also on any paper material! I love the simplicity of the design. The variety of papers made it so artistic! Thanks for sharing!
Great wrapping idea. I guess I can also suggest that you could use other material here, like for those wraps they use to keep appliances away from scratches while inside their boxes.
Talk about creativity and resourcefulness all rolled in to one. This idea is defined by that. Things that we think that are needless could be an essential part of something.
