Rowan and I made these together, and they made a great toddler/mommy project. It is super easy, and the prep time is quick.
I got addicted to using shower fizzies years ago when I discovered them at Lush. Then just recently, my neighbor gave me some she had made herself. They were wonderful. You just put it at the bottom of the shower, and they will dissolve and release the aroma of whatever oil you choose.
We used Lavender for this batch, but use what ever essential oil you love.
Shower Fizzy Valentine
1 cup Baking Soda
1/2 cup Citric Acid
Witch hazel
Lavender Essential Oil or any oil you like
Spray bottle
Silicone mold

Combine baking soda and citric acid in a bowl. To start, add about 10 drops of essential oils then keep adding until desired scent is achieved.
Add witch hazel to a spray bottle. Spraying the witch hazel helps to evenly and lightly distribute the liquid to help control how much you add. Spray witch hazel sparingly while using your hands to mix powder together. As soon as the mixture sticks together stop spraying. You don’t want to over wet, as it will activate baking soda and citric acid.
Press mixture into mold firmly. Let them sit for a few minutes until they harden. Pop them out of the molds and let them thoroughly dry for about 24 hours.
LOVE the idea! You are so creative 🙂
