we did this: slime!

Rowan and I took a little art class at our local community center. For the last class the teacher introduced us to slime. It is the easiest, and most fun project that we did. Simply, you just add water to cornstarch and mix. The result is this fun slime.

The slime is this fun substance that hardens when you hold it but turns into a liquid when poured. You can add food coloring to it too. We replicated the project at home and it kept Rowan busy for a good long time.

Cornstarch Slime

What you need:

16 oz box of cornstarch
1 1/2 cups of water
Bowl

Mix cornstarch and water in a bowl. Mix it together. Play.

Try Rainbow Breathing! Taking deep breaths when feelings get overwhelming is a practice that can be invaluable for all of us. When kids are feeling anxious or stressed this practice can help them find calm and regulate their nervous feelings. Using fun modalities like this Rainbow Breathing tool, can be a good way to introduce this practice to young people in a fun way that won’t make the practice seem too intimidating.
Hi friends! Barnes and Noble has a nice promotion running!
This was our view when we were in Scotland. It was so good to walk by this river and empty my mind. Scotland, you charmed our whole family and brought us some moments of peace and bonding that we really needed. Sound on😌. River Earn, Crief, Scotland.
