“Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly.”

This spring we became enamored with Monarch butterflies. In our modest back garden, we have secured a corner for the butterflies.  We planted milkweeds a long with two big boisterous bushes for attracting and feeding them.

After housing two caterpillars in our makeshift caterpillar hospital, two Monarch’s emerged and boy, was that a treat. To see this miracle first hand was a magical and just fed my son’s soul and imagination in ways seeing it on a screen or even in a book could not match.
