Self-Care for kids

I’ve been thinking a lot about how important it is for our kids to practice self-care, just like we do. You know those days when your little ones seem a bit off, and you can tell their emotional cups are running low? It’s so vital for them to recognize when that happens and know how to fill up their cups again. As parents, we can help them visualize this process! By encouraging them to reflect on what makes them happy—like playing, laughing, or spending time with loved ones—we can guide them to actively seek out those moments. It’s not just about fun activities; it’s about teaching them to understand and care for their own feelings.

This feelings cup is a fun way for kids to check in with themselves. Are they hungry? Do they need a hug? Have they laughed today? These are easy questions that can help them learn to identify when they need to take a moment and take care of themselves.
