About Me
HELLO!

Lisa Fyfe is a graphic designer, and mom to a lovely 12 year old boy and 6 year old labradoodle. After having him, life changed ten-fold. From being the art director of a publishing company in New York City to a slower paced life in Connecticut, and now San Diego, life changed in immeasurable ways. Motherhood changed everything and inspiration came from this unexpected place. This is the space where she shares a bit those things.
Now with her first book, How are you feeling? about to be published, she is excited about new adventures ahead.

A little more about me, I worked for many glorious years in book publishing. I was the art director at Henry Holt and Co. and it was some of the best working years of my life. Working with the most creative talented people left me in awe and has influenced me in so many ways. After my son was born, we relocated a few times, and now I am a graphic designer and crafter in San Diego.
I love making projects and crafts for kids. When my son was smaller and days were long, I started a blog and recorded our craft projects. His baby years were some of the hardest and most beautiful days of my life where crafting and creating with my son was a balm for the nervousness of being a new mother.
Now I am publishing a book! During Covid, like everyone else we were forced into homeschooling and managing life in a world that had shut down. It was so stressful, and I found myself searching for emotional tools that could help me make sense of my stress and anxiety. One of my biggest lessons was to simply practice recognizing how I was feeling and talking with my son about how he was feeling. When we simply talked about our emotions things seemed lighter and easier to manage.
Creating a book that helps guide us through our feelings in a way that is simple and fun for kids became a creative project that ended up being such a comfort for me in my parenting. I am amazed that now it is an actual soon to be published book! Getting my book in the mail was a treat of a lifetime, and I am thrilled to be sharing it with you.
I am so thrilled you are here. Thank you.
